Meet Ateki
Born in 1986 in the Northwest Region of Cameroon, Ateki Seta Caxton represents a new generation of bold, principled, and visionary leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Buea and a Master's degree in International Relations from the prestigious International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC). He is currently advancing his academic journey through PhD studies at a leading foreign university, deepening his expertise in governance and development.
Ateki Seta Caxton is the founder of NewSETA, a nationally recognized organisation that champions democracy, peaceful coexistence, and inclusive development across Cameroon. Under his leadership, NewSETA has empowered over 10,000 young Cameroonians through the REPAIR initiative - an intensive programme on leadership, democracy, and civic engagement. His efforts have contributed to building a more conscious and participatory citizenry.
As a committed leader and visionarist, Ateki envisions a Cameroon where power is decentralised, communities are empowered, and diversity is celebrated. He stands for a just and united nation where every region has the opportunity to thrive.
Beyond his public life, Ateki is a dedicated husband and father of four, deeply grounded in family values. He embodies integrity, humility, and service. With a track record of working across communities and political divides, he has earned national legitimacy and the trust of diverse stakeholders.
He has represented Cameroon on the global stage, travelling to over 36 countries, forging strategic partnerships, and bringing home innovative ideas for national transformation.
